Curriculum

Within the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media, students have several pathways for studying Sports Media. For students with a strong interest, the B.A. in Visual and Sound Media major with a concentration in Sports Media is an ideal choice. Students in this program will develop their abilities in media production and analysis while choosing from several specialty courses that cover topics such as sports media policy and regulation, trends in sports media distribution and production processes, and the role of sports media in culture and society.

For students not in the Visual and Sound Media major, a Sports Media minor may be added to almost all majors from across the University. The minor area of study is ideal for students interested in learning more and gaining experience for expert faculty and industry leaders.
