Amy Kline, Ed.D., Associate Dean, College Effectiveness, brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education to Seton Hall University, utilizing her role to bridge the work happening internally to the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media, and externally with accreditors, state and national governing bodies, and other related entities. Dr. Kline is a member of the Dean’s Leadership Team where she engages with administrative and academic colleagues across the four departments, supporting collaborative efforts towards the mission and goals of the College. Dr. Kline works closely with her staff and colleagues to advance key initiatives essential to the College’s functions, including assessment, accreditation, external and internal reporting and effective operations within the Office of Fieldwork and Certification.

Dr. Kline is engaged in several professional associations, currently serving as President for the New Jersey Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (NJACTE); and as Northeast Region Representative on the Advisory Council of State Representatives of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education (AACTE). She is an appointed member of New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy’s Taskforce on Public School Teacher Shortages, as well an appointed member of the New Jersey State Department of Education (NJDOE) State Program Approval Committee (SPAC). Additionally, Dr. Kline is Past-Program Chair of the American Education Research Association (AERA) Special Interest Group on Accreditation, Assessment, and Program Evaluation in Educator Preparation.

Dr. Kline is an active member of the Seton Hall community, participating in various committees including the University Assessment Committee and the Middle States Steering Committee. An avid believer in the healing benefits of meditation and mindfulness, she is also one the facilitators for SHU Meditates, the weekly campus group for faculty, staff, and administrators.
