Associate Dean
College of Human Development, Culture, and Media

Omayra Arocho earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education, Leadership Management and Policy from Seton Hall University. She credits the genuine compassion and mentorship of key university faculty and administrators for inspiring her as a first-generation college student to pursue a career in higher education and pay it forward.

Dr. Arocho is responsible for an array of student- and College community-related initiatives, including leadership of community development opportunities with the aim to engage, academically and professionally prepare, as well as acknowledge the achievements of faculty, administrators, students, and alumni. Additional areas of leadership include oversight of undergraduate and graduate student services and supports, establishing and maintaining internal and external community partnerships, and the development of co-curricular opportunities to contribute to and enhance the College’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
