The Lloyd A. McBride Leadership Center
Our Mission Statement
The Lloyd A. McBride Leadership Center in the College of Communication and the Arts aims to develop extraordinary leaders who understand and embody courageous communication, who hold fast to the principles of servant-leadership, and who seek to become visionary difference-makers in their career.
The Program
Students in the Lloyd A. McBride Leadership Center undertake an intensive curricular and co-curricular experience that maximizes the inspirational potential of their personal and professional lives.
The program offers a unique blend of campus-wide and college-specific experiences. At the campus level, students collaborate with and learn alongside the leadership students in Seton Hall’s other colleges, a dynamic that fosters the holistic aspects of the initiative and allows for fruitful networking across disciplinary boundaries. Within the college, the cohort develops an intensive focus on the leadership aspects of courageous communication, an emphasis that maximizes their potential for developing influential careers in the many fields encompassed by Communication and the Arts.
Through executive mentoring, personalized coaching, intensive academics, experiential learning, and service projects, students in the Communication and the Arts leadership program will develop self-confidence, hone analytical skills, polish presentation skills, and increase the ability to motivate others. Upon graduation, they will be fully prepared for a life of servant-leadership in the career of their choice.
