CEPS Offers Leadership Course on Disruption & Innovation

Following a successful Approaches to Contemporary Leadership course, Continuing Education and Professional Studies and the Buccino Leadership Institute have collaborated to create Succeeding in an Uncertain Future.
Succeeding in an Uncertain Future is a half-day experiential learning program designed for professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs. Participants will cultivate a mindset that embraces uncertainty and approaches the future with purpose. The pandemic proved that remote work is possible, and the competition for talent is now global. The rapid infusion of AI is accelerating the disruption in labor markets, demanding a new set of capabilities beyond traditional workplace skills. Succeeding in this uncertain environment requires a new mindset.
Through evidence-based theory, data, and professional practice, participants will experience immediate professional applicability. Learning objectives include building a critical-thinking framework for the future, developing foresight to enable smart decision-making, fostering adaptability and resilience to navigate an environment of exponential change, and developing a shared language to engage with a broad set of stakeholders.
Participants will receive three 60-minute sessions delivered in half a day from 8:30 a.m. to noon on February 16, 2024, on campus. Registration is available here. The course is taught by three of Seton Hall’s leading experts on leadership and teams.
Andrew Simon, Ph.D., a professor in the psychology department, is an expert on organizational and team
dynamics. He has worked with and researched organizations all over the world in the
public, private, non-profit and education spaces. In addition, he is a well-known
sports psychologist, working with athletes on psychological skill-building.
John Shannon, J.D., is a professor of legal studies in the school of business. His teaching and research
focus on the intersection of law, business and technology with emphasis on the issues
and challenges propelled by digital transformation and its impact on the established
order in these sectors and society.
Professor Ruchin Kansal teaches leadership and innovation in the school of business. With more than 20 years
of experience in the health sciences sector, winning national recognition for innovation,
strategy and sustainable solutions, Professor Kansal consults with business to build
leadership teams, address challenges and adapt to new technologies.
The goal of the University’s leadership development certificate series is to provide world-class leadership and professional development skills to participants so they can become the best versions of themselves and advance their careers. Leaders who have participated in past programs include law enforcement officers, educators, business executives, non-profit leaders, HR managers, and much more.
The cost for the workshop for participants is $297. Seton Hall employees and current students can receive a discount.
