Stillman School 39th in Nation in Poets & Quants' Best Undergraduate Business School Rankings

Stillman School of Business StudentThe Stillman School of Business rose to 39th in the nation in the Poets&Quants ranking of the "Best Undergraduate Business Schools 2022" and is tops in New Jersey for Alumni Experience.

"We are so proud of Stillman’s standing in the Poets & Quants rankings," said Joyce Strawser, Ph.D., dean of the Stillman School of Business. "Our position as a top 40 business school reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality programs, linked to impactful extracurricular experiences, in an educational environment that fosters high student-faculty engagement."

A leading source for business education news, Poets&Quants for Undergrads based the rankings on data related to three equally weighted areas: Admissions Standards, Academic Experience and Employment Outcomes – areas they consider to be "critical factors of the quality of the educational experience."

Stillman also received high marks from alumni who were surveyed, placing the School "best" in New Jersey in the Alumni Experience category. Ratings reflected high satisfaction with job placement after graduation as well as opportunity for an international/signature experience as a student.

Dean Strawser noted, "From our faculty, staff and administrators to our alumni, every Stillman community member is fully invested in the success of our students. Our many mentoring programs, student organizations and opportunities for professional networking ensure that learning and development occurs inside and outside the classroom and that our students are fully prepared to succeed as principled business leaders."

The rankings are compiled by surveying more than 5,400 alumni and by using school-reported data. In the end, only 95 business schools met the selection standard. As stated by Poets&Quants in the methodology, "the ranked schools in this report reflect the top 12% of the more than 840 business schools accredited by AACSB International, the main accrediting body for business education."

"Poets & Quants has become the new standard across business schools nationally and I congratulate the Stillman School for this impressive rise in the rankings," said Katia Passerini, Ph.D., Seton Hall University Provost and Executive Vice President. "This outcome is another example of the growth trajectory that Stillman has undertaken in recent years with achievements in many disciplines, while helping students transform new concepts into impactful practices and developing new, in-demand programs."

The Stillman School's undergraduate program is also ranked at 106 in the nation in the 2021 U.S. News & World Report ranking, up 10 places from 2020. The School's part-time M.B.A. program was ranked at 73rd in the nation by U.S. News and is recognized by The Princeton Review as one of the top programs in the country. In addition, Stillman is the only school in northern New Jersey with both business and accounting accreditation – making it one of only 188 institutions worldwide to hold an additional, specialized AACSB Accreditation.
