Students from the Seton Hall University and Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University (located in Kyiv, Ukraine) will come together virtually on Tuesday, April 5 from 11 a.m. EST (6 p.m. EET) to 12:30 p.m. EST (7:30 p.m. EET) for "Students in Wartime: A Virtual Bridge with Kyiv, Ukraine." The event is free and open to the public, co-sponsored by the Russian and East European Studies Program, the Department of History, and the Department of Educational Studies, in collaboration with colleagues at Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.

For over thirteen years, under a memorandum of understanding, the two universities have collaborated on a wide range of initiatives, including bringing together students and faculty through virtually hosted seminars and presenting original research on the Ukrainian diaspora in America at international conferences such as the Annual Conference of the International Assembly of the National Council for the Social Studies. 

The Young Scientists Grinchenko – Seton International Journal is another example of the intercontinental exchange of ideas, which features contributions from students and faculty at both Seton Hall and the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.

The third and newest edition of the journal was published earlier this year, including perspectives from students within the College of Education and Human Services providing an analysis of John Locke's views on education, building community through student organizations as well as offering education-related book reviews.
