Poetry-in-the-Round Hosts Acclaimed Poet Megan Fernandes

Megan Fernandes is the author of two books of poetry, most recently Good Boys (Tin House Books, 2020), which was a finalist for the Kundiman Book Prize, the Saturnalia Book Prize, and the Paterson Poetry Prize.
Of Good Boys, the Los Angeles Review of Books writes, "In poems that fizz with both irony and vulnerability, Fernandes points out that sometimes being ‘good' simply means being obedient . . . Yet, the poems also remind us that it can be dangerous to consider submission a form of love."
Fernandes's work has been published in many magazines, including The New Yorker, the American Poetry Review, Tin House, Ploughshares, Boston Review, The Common, Guernica, and by the Academy of American Poets. She earned a PhD in English from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MFA in poetry from Boston University. She is an assistant professor of English and the writer-in-residence at Lafayette College. She lives in New York City.

series has worked to bring established and up-and-coming new writers to the attention
of Seton Hall students and the community.
