Summer Update: Staying Connected with Technology at Seton Hall University

Sign In ModalSigning In to PirateNet

Over the last few months, we have been streamlining the multiple ways of accessing our online services, like your University portal, BlackBoard learning environment or campus email. Instead of being required to sign in to each service separately, the Department of Information Technology has implemented a new single sign-on service.

This service allows you to enter your Seton Hall ID and password to access multiple resources within the University Network (or as we call it, "PirateNet"). This new functionality will make the experience of accessing various services seamless - and it all starts by clicking the PirateNet link from www.shu.edu. For more details, click here.

blog-screenConsolidated Communications

We've created a new, all-inclusive technology blog, bringing together IT news and updates, cutting edge academic innovations, student-focused resources and specialized support. You will now find all the IT blogs you knew (ePirate, SwitchedOn, etc.) as well as new updates and integrated IT communications at blogs.shu.edu/technology.

We've also changed our Twitter handle: follow us @SetonHallTech for regularly updated news from the technology site and our blogs, including upcoming events, systems status notifications and development updates.

Systems Status Updates

Sometimes there are problems, and we are dedicated to being transparent and clear about what's not working and how it affects you.

Visit systemstatus.shu.edu to see if any services are currently under maintenance or unavailable. When signing into PirateNet, a prominent alert will appear if there's a known issue as well.

You can also follow @SetonHallTech on Twitter for updates, visit technology.shu.edu to see current status or subscribe to SMS alerts by texting SetonHallTech to 55000.
