Student Learning Objectives:

  1. Students will demonstrate proficient knowledge at the undergraduate level of one or more religious traditions and their histories.
  2. Students will demonstrate an understanding of how religious texts, ideas, practices, institutions, and communities shape and are shaped by contemporary debates related to human fulfillment.
  3. Students will be able to interpret contemporary issues in light of the theological and ethical commitments of different religious communities.
  4. Students will describe and assess the theological, philosophical, and conceptual premises underlying religious beliefs and practices.
