For more than 37 years, Albin Wicki has supported the maintenance of the College's TV Studio located in the lower level of Fahy Hall. As Chief Engineer, his primary responsibilities include designing studio layout, maintaining equipment and resolving any technical issues. During classes, Albin instructs students about how to use equipment, helping them learn the right terminology during productions. In the past, many students have credited Albin with helping them achieve the confidence needed in the studio.
Accomplishments
Throughout his career, Wicki has received 11 total Emmy Award nominations, three of which won in their categories. He was honored for "Sports Event/Live, Unedited" category for his contribution as a technical manager with YES Network and its New York Yankees live baseball telecasts (2018) , "Outstanding Technical Achievement" for helping to develop an extreme slow-motion camera (2012) and "Sporting Event/Game – Live/Unedited: Program Special" for his support in Farewell 2 The Captain, YES Networks' coverage of Derek Jeter's final season (2014).
