About the President 

Dr. EstebanThe 20th president of Seton Hall University, A. Gabriel Esteban, served as interim president for six months before taking office in January 2011. He began his tenure at Seton Hall in 2007 as provost and chief academic officer. In this position, he spearheaded strategic planning at the University, establishing academic priorities and strategic changes in enrollment management. With a doctorate in administration, two master’s degrees in business and a bachelor of science in mathematics, he has served higher education in a number of national roles. As president, he is committed to excellence in scholarship and service and to Seton Hall’s 156-year-old Catholic mission.
