What I enjoy most about teaching is sharing my passion with my students. I love it when a student learns something new for the first time, and they have this 'Eureka!' moment. That never gets old.

Meet Jose
Newark native Jose Lopez, assistant professor of physics, is making waves throughout the physics world. A renowned international expert in plasma physics, he has done extensive work using microplasmas to create ozone, which can be used for water purification. His work with microplasmas has also led to the development of generators to replenish the ozone in the earth's atmosphere.
Lopez's achievements are so extensive that in February 2012, he was one of two Seton Hall professors to be included in the Star-Ledger's list of the 20 smartest individuals in New Jersey.
