Workshops are one week long, Monday to Friday, with workshops running from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
July 10-14: Astronomy
July 24-28: Mechanics
Note: This is a tentative schedule. Depending upon the demand, i.e. the number of applicants/students, we can/may schedule additional workshops during the indicated period of July 10th through August 4th. Students taking the Astronomy workshop must stay overnight. Electronics, Mechanics, and Robotics do not require overnight stay. Those who would like to stay overnight, can do so at an additional cost. Students doing the day portion only must be dropped off in time for 9 a.m. workshops and picked up at 5 p.m. when workshops end. Classrooms/laboratories are closed before and after those times.
We accept payment by check or Paypal. Payment will be due within one week of receiving student acceptance email. For early registrants, a 20% discount will be applied if paid in full on or before June 15, 2017. Fees for each workshop include one week (Mon-Fri) of workshops, materials, and meals. Daytime students have one (1) lunchtime meal at the university cafeteria included. Overnight students have three (3) meals a day - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Students in Electronics, Mechanics, and Robotics who wish to stay overnight, can do so for an additional cost of $500.
Workshops with insufficient registrants may be cancelled up to a month prior to its scheduled start. The workshop fee will be refunded or applied to another workshop. Giant Leap is not responsible for a student's decision not to complete a workshop. If a workshop is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.
Registrants who withdraw from a workshop prior to June 15, 2017 will be issued a refund. Refunds will not be issued for students that withdraw from a workshop on or after June 15th, 2017.
