Class of 2013 Leading the Way

Matt Pennington

"My friends at other colleges haven’t been able to get into the research labs as early as I have.

They have to wait until junior or senior year, but I got into the labs my freshman year. By sophomore year, I was conducting my own research project.

This competitive edge helped get me into an internship program at one of the largest Midwestern research institutes, which draws students from all over the world.”

"I love Seton Hall because it nurtures not only your mind and intellect but also your spirit and soul.

Since arriving here, I have become more globally aware and socially conscious.

Seton Hall nurtures leadership, and I have had so many opportunities to expand my world view — from internships to study abroad.

I have truly been able to develop into a leader dedicated to improving my community."

"Seton Hall stresses practical, hands-on learning so you start building your career while still in college. I interned for 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' and for 'Piers Morgan Tonight,' served as a reporter and editor for Seton Hall's international relations newspaper and produced 'The Global Current' news show on WSOU, our award-winning radio station. I wouldn't be where I am without all of the support and opportunities I received at Seton Hall."

Seton Hall boasts an employment rate nearly 20 percent higher than the national average.
